“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”
― Confucius

Perseverance is that inner drive that pushes you to move forward, even in the face of obstacles and adversity. Your motivation can be a positive goal for someone else or yourself. There are a lot of words used to describe the meaning of perseverance, but the most commonly used word is commitment. Your ability to stick and stay your chosen course determines your success.

To be sure patience is required because overnight success is a rarity. It may take time and several attempts to reach your goal; therefore, deliberately considering the validity of your goals before implementing your plan is a wise first step. Along with patience, a good dose of sacrifice is often involved.

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will.”
― Vince Lombardi Jr.

You will also find that it is about always finishing the things your start. Even if you lose, you still finish well off because you had perseverance. You will be able to learn a lot about yourself when you push yourself forward to success. Setting big goals encourages an end result that reaps the benefit of your efforts. The will to persevere comes from within you and is fueled by your passions.

“It is only by persistent focus on your dreams; you will pull all the divine forces for the passion of fulfilled dream.”
― Lailah Gifty Akita, Think Great: Be Great!
