Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

Step Out of Your Comfort ZoneGet from zero to infinity in the blink of an eye. It can happen to you, just open your mind and dare to step out of your comfort zone.

Got an idea, dream, product, service, or system that you want to create? Want to change your lifestyle, career, relationship, nutrition, or whatever? It starts in your brain with the attitudes and habits you practice consistently. But first, give yourself permission to “be” and “do.”

A bit of caution here, you have to arrive at this pursuit decision with the resident experience and required expertise to actually do whatever you propose.

Too many people walk through life carrying a big sack of constant chatter in their heads that whispers, “wish I had,” “I should have,” and “I’m smarter than them.” All because they are fearful of failure, terrified of being cast as foolish and doubting their ability to achieve the desired success.

You know the adage, “If you think you can’t, you won’t, if you think you can, you will,” apologies for the paraphrasing, but you get the idea. As you believe, you live and act. The trick is to get the proper mindset. Most of us are born pretty equal (exceptions duly noted) with a chance to do something with our lives that is an improvement over the past generation’s societal achievements.

If you put in the work, you will be amazed at the outcomes. Start working on your mental attitude and self-image. Change your self-talk if necessary. Aspire to achieve. Speak in positive terms to yourself about yourself.

That might sound like a “Pollyanna,” but consider when you learned to walk. You had no experience, but you could see all the rest of your family doing it – you aspired to achieve. Yes, you fell many times, but you got up and tried again until – success, you could walk with the best of them.

Find the story or image of what success looks like for you and keep visiting it mentally. Fix in your mindset on what success feels like. Imagine success vividly with all the details in place. It will take time and practice. Do it daily.

You may have to erase some negative tapes and experiences in your brain’s database. You may have to change some things in your life, but it all begins with a change in mindset to get from zero to infinity in a blink with your imagined success in tow. Don’t worry if it takes a couple of blinks – you’ll get there, even sooner than you could have imagined.
